City of the Future
the most collaborative fused with city design and sustainability
Story
Students come together to envision and construct their version of a future city. Acting as city board members, each takes responsibility for a specific area (e.g., housing, energy, healthcare, agriculture, entertainment). A mayor is elected to oversee coordination between different domains. The city model consists of hexagonal modules, each representing different urban functions. The course concludes with a city-opening ceremony, where students present their work.
Activities
- Planning the city layout.
- Choosing responsibilities and gaining expertise in urban topics.
- 3D design of buildings aligned with assigned responsibilities.
- Programming and constructing electronic solutions, such as city lighting and alarm systems.
- Coordinating with other responsibility areas to create a functional and sustainable city.
Skills in focus
collaboration, creativity, responsibility, entrepreneurship
Main technology used
3D design, coding
Global Warning
the most scientific, fused with sustainability
Story
A research vessel embarks on an expedition around the world to study the effects of global warming.
