At Maker’s Red Box,
we believe that one of the most important roles of education is to motivate children.
Our story-based STEAM curriculums are created by our diverse development team — experienced educators, game designers, engineers, physicists, design theorists, programmers, curators and more — who all share the same belief:
the future of education lies in competence development and in preparing students to face real-life challenges.
We know that real, system-level change only happens when we understand what challenges teachers and schools are dealing with - and offer solutions that genuinely support them.
That’s why everything we create is designed with teachers in mind. We want to take some of the pressure off their shoulders, while offering high-impact learning experiences that truly engage students.
And we’re not doing it alone. We’re building this movement together with a growing community of teachers who bring our courses to life in classrooms around the world.

Our Story
- 2015
- A small team of passionate developers begins hosting maker pedagogy camps and after-school workshops for kids, planting the seeds of something big.
- 2017
- After extensive experimentation and testing, a bold new concept for a full product family takes shape.
- 2019
- The first 3 curriculum are launched, forming the foundation of the product line.
- 2020
- Maker’s Red Box makes its international debut at the BETT Show in London, one of the major international education exhibitions.
- 2021
- The products receive high ratings from Education Alliance Finland and are shortlisted for the BETT Awards.
- 2022
- A comprehensive pedagogical framework is introduced to support and enhance the curriculum.
- 2023
- In addition to English and Hungarian, the materials become available in 5 more languages, reaching a truly global audience.
- 2025
- The product portfolio expands with a digital assessment tool – designed to bring meaningful feedback into the creative learning process.
